- Amendment establishes a national manufactured housing construction and safety standards consensus committee to develop Federal standards for the construction of manufactured homes.
- Purpose
- An amendment to amend the 1974 Housing and Community Development Act to require HUD to establish a federal manufactured housing construction and safety performance standards committee responsible for revising and interpreting federal standards governing the construction of manufactured housing. Under current law, HUD develops these standards.
