- Amendment sought to to delete language that establishes a pilot program for a new and voluntary employment eligibility confirmation process to verify the immigration status of potential employees.
- Purpose
- An amendment, printed as amendment No. 12 in House Report 104-483, (modified pursuant to a unanimous consent agreement of March 19, 1995) to delete the provisions in the bill that would establish a new and voluntary employment eligibility confirmation process to verify the immigration status of potential employees. The process would be implemented to the seven states with the largest concentration of illegal aliens and would be limited to three years.
