- Purpose
- An amendment to allow the National Marine Fisheries Service to contract out for assessmeents of fishery stocks. The amendment would require fishery stock surveys to be conducted on an annual basis, rather than every three years, and the contractor would be permitted to keep and sell the fish caught in order to offset the costs of the survey.
