- Amendment sought to eliminates funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in fiscal year 1998.
- Purpose
- An amendment, printed as amendment No. 25 in the Congressional Record of July 31, 1995, to eliminate all funding appropriated in the bill for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. By law, monies for the CPB are forward funded, so the CPB funding for Fiscal Years 1996 and 1997 would be unaffected. The amendment would delete $240 million in funding for Fiscal Year 1998.
