- An amendment to the Smith (NJ) amendment that would delete the provisions pertaining to the prohibition on funding nongovernmental organizations that directly or indirectly perform abortions. The provisions of the Smith (NJ) amendment pertaining to the prohibition on funds for the UN Fund for Population Activities would be retained.
