- Amendment reduces the authorization for Department of Energy tritium production activities from $100 million to $50 million.
- Purpose
- An amendment to reduce the funds authorized in the bill for tritium production activities of the Department of Energy from $100 million to $50 million. The amendment would also prohibit the use of any funds for tritium production until the DOE makes a final decision on a tritium production program and Congressional hearings have been conducted to determine the most appropriate option for establishing a reliable source for tritium.
