- An amendment to repeal the War Powers Resolution and to require the President to consult with Congress, as much as possible, before committing U.S. troops to imminent hostilities The amendment would require the President to report to Congress within 48 hours of after commiting troops to a hostile area or deploying troops to a foreign country for other than routine purposes.
