- Purpose
- An amendment in the nature of a substitute similar to the provisions contained in the joint resolution, which limits congressional terms to 12 years for members of the House and Senate, but would would limit the eligibility of Members of the House of Representatives to a maximum of six years. The amendment would retain the two-term limitation on members of the Senate.
