- Purpose
- An amendment which would give families that participate in required state welfare work programs a preference for obtaining federal housing assistance, including both public housing and Section 8 rental assistance. Under the amendment, this preference would supercede other existing federal and local preferences, but the housing assistance provided under this authority would be limited to five years per family.
