- Amendment sought to modify provisions relating to risk assessment and cost benefit analysis requirements by establishing an effective date of one year after the date of enactment for all risk assessment cost-benefit analysis.
- Purpose
- An amendment (printed as amendment No. 37 in the Congressional Record of May 9) to modify the provisions in the bill relating to risk assessment and cost-benefit analysis requirements by establishing an effective date for all risk assessment cost-benefit analysis of one year after enactment of the bill. The amendment would also change the bill's criteria for cost-benefit analysis from one which "maximizes net benefits to society," to providing "incremental benefits to human health, public welfare, and the environment."
