- Amendment eliminates the exception to the statute of repose for product liability that allows a claimant to bring a suit if he cannot receive full compensation for medical expenses from other sources.
- Purpose
- An amendment to delete the provisions of the bill which would impose a limitation on the proposed 15 year time-limit on filing claims in product liability cases. Under the provisions of the bill, the time limitation would apply only if a court determines that the claimant received or would be eligible to receive full compensation from any source for medical expense losses.
