- Purpose
- An amendment to expand the reporting requirements in the bill for congressional committees with regard to proposed legislation containing mandates. The provisions of the amendment would require committee reports to contain a statement of the degree to which the federal mandate would affect both the public and private sectors, and include a description of any actions taken by the committee to avoid adverse impact on the competitive balance between the two sectors.
