- Purpose
- An amendment consisting of the text of amendment No. 79, printed in the Congressional Record on January 19, 1994, to require States and local governments to participate in establishing and maintaining a national database for the identification of child molesters, child abusers, persons convicted of sex crimes, persons under a restraining order, or who have failed to pay child support. The requirement would be exempt from the provisions of the bill prohibiting unfunded mandates on the States.
