- Purpose
- An amendment to change the threshold at which CBO would be required to prepare a cost estimate for legislation imposing a federal mandate on the private sector. The amendment would lower this threshold from $100 million to $50 million in direct costs, the same dollar amount that currently applies to proposed mandates on state and local governments.
