- On page 8, line 12, strike "major" and insert "five percent".
- Purpose
- An amendment to change the definition in the bill of those agency actions that would require a regulatory impact analysis. The bill would require such analysis for proposed regulations that would cause a "major increase in costs or prices for consumers, individual industries, Federal, State, or local government agencies..." The amendment would require the analysis for regulations that would cause an increase of 5% in costs or prices.
