- An amendment to delete the provisions of the bill that requires the members of the Board of Directors of the Office of Compliance to have experience or training in the laws to be applied to the legislative branch. The amendment would allow former congressional employees to serve on the Board, providing they have not been employed by Congress for four years prior to their appointment, and would require the Executive Director of the Board to have expertise or training in the laws referred to in the bill. The amendment prohibits any Member, former Member or congressional employee or former employee who has served in Congress within the preceding four years from serving as Executive Director of the Board.
