Amendment103rd Congress
Amendment establishes a fees schedule for persons filing complaints under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.
- Amendment Number
- 651
- Description
- Amendment establishes a fees schedule for persons filing complaints under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.
- Purpose
- An amendment to strike a provision of the bill that would increase the licensing fees now paid by grocers under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA). Instead of increasing these fees, the amendment would establish new filing fees to be paid by parties that file complaints under PACA in FY 1995. The filing fees would be $60 for an informal complaint and $300 for a formal complaint; the $300 fee would be reimbursed as part of the damage award if the complainant wins the case.
