- Amendment sought to freeze the appropriations contained in the bill at fiscal year 1994 levels; and would have eliminated the Office of Technology Assessment, the Joint Economic Committee, the Joint Committee on Taxation, and the Joint Committee on Printing.
- Purpose
- An amendment to reduce several appropriations in the bill to reduce the total appropriations to the FY 1994 level. The amendment would cut GAO by $47 million, the Office of Technology Assessment by $22 million, House Office Buildings by $9 million, congressional printing by $7 million, and the Botanic Garden by $7 million and eliminate all funding for joint committees.
