- Purpose
- An amendment to the Hancock amendment which would prevent funds authorized in the bill for being used to carry out a program or activity that has either the purpose or effect of encouraging or supporting homosexuality as a positive lifestyle alternative. The amendment also specifies that nothing in the provisions of the amendment is intended to be contrued as asserting federal control over a school's curriculum.
