- Amendment sought to provide fiscal year 1995 new budget authority of $1,194.6 billion; budget outlays of $1,204.6 billion; budget revenues of $971.3 billion; and a budget deficit of $233.3 billion.
- Purpose
- An amendment in the nature of a substitute to reduce the deficit by $643.5 billion over five years, $147.5 billion more than recommended by the Committee on the Budget. The amendment would cut domestic spending by $284.4 billion, reduce interest costs by $32.2 billion, reduce spending in international affairs by $13.1 billion and increase defense spending by $61.1 billion.
