- An amendment to require the Education Department's National Center for Education Statistics to analyze data on school finance in order to determine the progress, or lack thereof, of state efforts to equalize funding among school districts; and to provide for a comprehensive study on equity in school financing to be conducted by the National Academy of Sciences.
