- Amendment revises the pay schedule for employees of the independent counsel.
- Purpose
- An amendment to change the provisions of the bill relating to the compensation of employees of an independent counsel. The amendment, would limit each independent counsel to no more than two empolyees paid at a rate equal to Level V of the federal Executive Schedule ($108,2000 per year), and would cap the maximum pay of all other employees at the equivalent of the GS-15 level ($86,500 per year).
