- Amendment preserves the traditional roles of the States in the management and research of State fish and wildlife resources and provides for the continuation of the Migratory Bird Program.
- Purpose
- An amendment to ensure that the NBS will not infringe upon the authority or responsibility of state and federal natural resource agencies, and that existing cooperative research and management programs between state, federal agencies and universities be continued. The amendment would also require the NBS to adequately support the Migratory Bird Program and other programs.
