- Amendment sought to eliminate language which requires applicants for National Service program grants to consult with and obtain the concurrence of local labor unions whose members are engaged in the same or similar work that participants in the proposed national service program would perform.
- Purpose
- An amendment to eliminate the provisions of the bill requiring employer-applicants for a National Service grants to consult with local unions which do the same or similar work as the program participants would do, and require the concurrence of labor unions representing the applicant's employees to ensure that prospective national service program participants will not displace existing employees.
