- Purpose
- An amendment numbered 25 printed in part B of House Report 109-175 to state that Congress recognizes and affirms the efforts of the Great Lakes Governors and Canadian Premiers in developing a common standard for decisions relating to the withdrawal of water from the Great Lakes and urges that the management authority over the waters of the Great Lakes should remain vested with the Governors or Premiers of the eight Great Lakes States and two Canadian Provinces that share stewardship over the Great Lakes.
