- Purpose
- An amendment that states that none of the funds made available in this Act may be used to provide assistance to any State or local government entity or offical that restricts any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from the organization assuming the responsibility of the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding an individual's citizenship or immigration status, as prohibited under section 642(a) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1373(a)).
