- Amendment requires the Secretary of Transportation to submit a report to Congress on waivers of preference for buying goods produced in the United States.
- Purpose
- An amendment numbered 5 printed in House Report 108-146, which requires the Secretary of Transportation to submit to Congress, within 90 days of enactment of the bill, a report on waivers granted under the FAA " Buy-American Preferences" provisions. The report shall, at minimum, include a list of all waivers granted pertaining to that section, the specific authority under such section for granting the waiver and the rationale for granting the waiver.
