- Amendment limits the top salary level for employees of the Global Fund to that of the Vice President of the United States.
- Purpose
- An amendment numbered 4 printed in House Report 108-80 to require that for every dollar paid to any individual Global Fund staffer that is over the amount of the U.S. Vice President's salary, that there be a deduction of the same amount from the next year's appropriation to the Global Fund. All funds would continue to go to HIV/AIDS programs. The President may waive the provision for national security interests.
