- Purpose
- To provide that no person who is a retired regular officer of the military service, who was graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, who has served in Vietnam, and who has been awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts, shall be considered as holding an office of the United States for purposes of Section 2071(b) of Title 18 of the United States Code.
