An amendment numbered 14 printed in Part B of House Report 116-154 to add a new section to Title VII (Report on Foreign Weaponization of Deepfakes and Deepfake Technology and Related Notifications) requiring the Director of National Intelligence to prepare an unclassified report for Congress on the potential impact to U.S. national security from the use of deepfake technology by foreign governments (especially the Russian Federation and the Peoples Republic of China), including foreign intelligence services, foreign government-affiliated entities, and foreign individuals.
